Okay, I know I said there wouldn't be any news posted in the next week, but this was just too impossible to ignore. According to executive producer Julie Gardner, via an article from TV Guide, Torchwood Season 3 will air next year - but there's only going to be five episodes! The script for the next season is being developed as we speak, and filming begins this August. As quoted from Julie:
We've decided to do a five-part mini-series, one big story that will run during one week, I wanted to make a really big noise about the show.

ARGH!!! Only 5! But thats not enough to keep me going! (Of course any Torchwood is good but you cant call that a series!) WAAAAAAAH!!!!
13 episodes doesn't even seem enough let alone 5
